Matt Galat -aka Jayoe- stayed visited for a few months while building out his RV in Portland. We had some great rides!
This one to the Oaks Park Amusement Park -a Portland institution- featured a lovely and hysterically-funny employee escort!
Jayoe and I took a late afternoon ride down the Springwater Corridor, back up the Trolley Trail and over the Tilikum Crossing. With Drones, of course!
Matt and I were joined by TerraCycle Honcho Pat Franz. Pat and Matt practiced the rare trike ejector seat. Otherwise, it was a lovely ride!
A ride across the San Juan Island from Friday Harbor to Roche Harbor -then lunch at Westcott Bay Shellfish -the best oysters on the planet!
The hardy among us rose at an unreasonable hour to get the 6am Friday Harbor to Orcas ferry.
RPDX and Son joined Jayoe and TerraCycle’s Pat Franz to test whether Mel is really as terrified of heights as he claims
Myrtle brought Sylvia along for a really fun tour with friends of the San Juan Islands! At 11:26, the real fun starts!
Myrtle the Turtle takes a tour of our “coolest build ever”, a Catrike Dumont with Bosch motor kit integrated with Rohloff E-14 electronic shifting.
This was our first E-14. It was THE first ever. Anywhere. It’s on our showroom floor for demo rides!
Our friend Gary Solomon -of Laidback Bike Report fame (FAME! I say!)- and his lovely wife Marilyn joined us for our 2018 and 2022 San Juans trip. Here’s his 2018 video compilation
Taking Catrikes to the Portland Pickles Baseball game was a lot of fun! Mascots Dillon and Lil’ P quickly mastered the recumbent trike grin!
The night’s theme was Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, so they were “dressed up” as the twins. The Pickles – being sticklers for authenticity – absolutely required trikes, so RecumbentPDX got the call
