LADDS ADDITION ROSE GARDENS

Right outside our front door, the beautiful Ladds neighborhood is on the National Register of Historic Places.  

We cross Hawthorne and enjoy Elliott Avenue’s gentle downhill toward Ladd Circle.  At Ladd, following the direction of traffic, we visit four beautiful rose gardens located on the points of the compass.  

From there, our choices are 1) return to the store 2) continue wandering through Ladds (your smart phone GPS is helpful), 3) settle in a Palio on the circle’s east side for coffee and dessert or 4) head east on Harrison Street, 180 degrees around the East Garden, across 20th Ave and up the hill toward 30th Street (if you want to see how easy it is to ride a steep hill on a trike!).
