DESCRIPTION:June 6th\, Dan Zimmerman of Spokes Fighting Strokes and his big trailer full of adaptive trikes returns to Portland for an adaptive triking clinic at RecumbentPDX. \nDan brings trikes\, and inspiration! Confined to a wheelchair after a 2005 stroke\, Dan’s determination to overcome doctors’ grim prognosis led -in 2008- to his first recumbent trike. In addition to triking over 6000 miles a year\, Dan travels the United States sharing more than his stories: that trailer of his is just brimming with adaptive trikes YOU can ride!\nWe joined Dan on a ride to the 2024 Adaptive Sports NW event at Portland Sunday Parkways a couple years ago.  Here’s the video

SUMMARY:June 24th Pizza Ride
DESCRIPTION:Leaving RPDX at 5:30pm\, we’ll ride up to the top of Mt Tabor. On our way back\, we’ll detour to Cibo Pizza at Division and 35th where the shop treats for the pies!! We’ll then head back to the shop.  We’re just past the solstice\, so we’ll have daylight until after 9pm! \nThis is one of our FAVORITE rides.  Here’s a video from last year’s ride!

DESCRIPTION:The East Portland event on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. will feature a 4-mile out-and-back route highlighting  Ventura Park\, Lincoln Park\, Parklane Park\, and we are excited to share will be including Verdell Burdine Rutherford Park to the route for the first time this year! Each park will feature a vendor marketplace that showcases community organizations\, food vendors\, and local businesses.
