Visit our beautiful shop in SE Portland

Located in the lush Pacific Northwest riding paradise of Portland, Oregon, RecumbentPDX (“RPDX”) stocks over 150 recumbent trikes and bikes. We’re proud to be both Catrike and HP Velotechnik’s largest US retail store.

And, with more than 30 demo trikes and bikes -from Catrike, HP Velotechnik, AZUB, Greenspeed, Steintrike, Rans, Bilenky, and Sun- waiting for you to test ride, RPDX offers the broadest selection of test recumbents and finished inventory west of the Mississippi. While we welcome phone calls and emails, we especially welcome a shop visit to show you all our great bikes, trikes and accessories, discuss how a recumbent might meet your desires and encourage you to have some fun on test rides.

Between rides, you can relax at our kitchen table with a cold sparkling water or an espresso, a piece of fruit or a homemade treat. Most days, you’ll meet our shop dogs, Lilly and Rosie, who are already sure you love them.

There’s usually street parking on Hawthorne Blvd in front of the store. There’s also diagonal street parking right here where Elliott Ave meets Hawthorne Blvd.

Visiting Recumbent PDX from out of town?

If you’re visiting RecumbentPDX from Boise, Seattle, Bellingham, Port Townsend, Olympia, Tacoma, Spokane, Tri-Cities or anywhere in the Western United States, give us a call so we can ensure the best use of your time. Plenty of folks buying recumbents visit PDX (Rose City or Stumptown, if you prefer our other nicknames) from Washington, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia and even a few from Alaska!

If your recumbent trike or bike purchase keeps your overnight, the Rose City is a pretty nice place to be –there are dozens of great restaurants and brewpubs within just a few blocks of RecumbentPDX. And, because Oregon has no sales tax, you might pay for your entire trip with the savings on your trike!

Our store is fully wheelchair-accessible.
